How our family made a glowing moon float on a lake for a photo! #CanonPartner 🌙 Months of planning and weeks of building this moon came down to just 30 minutes of capturing it all. During the build, I even ended up on crutches for a bit. After attaching all of the LED lights to the moon one night, Nick and I were doing a celebratory dance and I danced myself into a hidden chipmunk hole in the grass and immediately felt my knee pop and fell right over 😳. Don’t worry, you can laugh, I laugh about it now too 😅. When it finally came time to capture the photo, we only had one chance to it because we had to assemble the moon, barrels and floating platform together on location, plus we needed to wait for that short window of time when the sun goes down and the moon begins to glow. I captured the photo in-camera using the @canonusa EOS R5 Mark II and RF50mm F1.2 L USM lens. This powerhouse duo makes me feel like I’m holding a magic wand every time I use them together 🪄.
